Jane is a 28 year-old business school student at UCLA who recently scored a coveted summer internship with IKEA in Sweden. After receiving a broad-strokes overview of the internship, Jane called to express a concern common to many of her peers: “I’m so nervous I’m going to get there and have no idea what to do!”

Of course Jane wasn’t going to know what to do right away.  IKEA asked her to work on “buzz metrics.”  Do you know what buzz metrics are?  We didn’t either….but we were able to give Jane some concrete strategies for asking for help – and still sounding smart while doing it!
